Director, Experiential
About This Position
We're looking for a Director of Experiential to lead and evolve our experiential marketing discipline. This role is responsible for setting the strategic vision for experiential programs while building and developing a high-performing, collaborative team that delivers best-in-class brand experiences.
The Director will oversee multiple experiential initiatives from strategy through execution, ensuring strong operational structure, disciplined project management, and measurable results. A pro-starter mindset is essential-someone who proactively identifies opportunities, creates solutions, and drives programs forward with clarity and purpose.
This leader will partner closely with clients, vendors, and agency teams to deliver innovative, high-impact experiences that elevate the Lexus brand. The ideal candidate is passionate about developing people, fostering collaboration, and implementing processes that enable teams to do their best work while maintaining the highest standards of organization, accountability, and creative excellence.
Experience in automotive or luxury experiential marketing, along with a strong track record of leading teams and complex programs, is highly valued.
What You'll Do
Lead Experiential Strategy & Programs
Provide strategic leadership across multiple experiential initiatives, guiding programs from concept through execution and post-program analysis
Identify new opportunities and develop innovative experiential strategies that align with client objectives and brand positioning
Ensure programs deliver measurable impact while maintaining excellence in execution and storytelling
Build and Develop a High-Performing Team
Lead, mentor, and develop a collaborative experiential team, fostering a culture of ownership, creativity, and continuous growth
Provide clear direction, coaching, and professional development opportunities for team members at all levels
Champion a supportive and inclusive team environment that encourages strong collaboration across departments
Drive Structure, Process, and Operational Excellence
Implement strong operational structure and scalable processes to support program planning, budgeting, execution, and reporting
Ensure best-in-class project management standards across experiential programs
Oversee program budgets and financial accountability, ensuring resources are effectively managed
Client & Partner Leadership
Build and maintain strong relationships with senior client stakeholders, vendors, and agency partners
Serve as a trusted strategic partner, providing thoughtful insights and recommendations that strengthen programs and partnerships
Represent the experiential discipline internally and externally, increasing the team's visibility and value within the agency
Program Oversight
Guide teams in the planning and execution of experiential events, sponsorship activations, and brand experiences across the country
Travel as needed for key meetings, site inspections, and experiential events
Ensure all programs meet high standards for brand integrity, operational excellence, and creative impact
Discipline Growth
Continue to grow and evolve the Experiential Marketing discipline within the agency
Identify new tools, processes, and innovations that strengthen the team's capabilities and offerings
Elevate the profile of experiential marketing with both clients and internal teams
What You Bring
Bachelor's degree (preferably in Business, Marketing, Sports Management, Advertising, or Communications)
10+ years of experiential marketing, event marketing, sponsorship/partnership marketing, or sports marketing experience, including leadership experience
Proven experience leading teams and managing complex, multi-market experiential programs
Strong financial management experience, including budget oversight and program forecasting
Exceptional organization and project management skills with the ability to oversee multiple initiatives simultaneously
A proactive, pro-starter mindset with the ability to anticipate needs and drive initiatives forward independently
Passion for developing people, building collaborative teams, and fostering a positive team culture
Strong presentation and communication skills-both written and verbal
Ability to build trusted relationships with senior clients, internal teams, vendors, and partners
Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint (Photoshop experience is a plus but not required)
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining strong attention to detail
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and travel as needed (potentially up to 25%)

Compensation Range: $119,510.00 - 179,850.00 anual. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
