Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Entry-Level Accountant to join our team in Parsippany, New Jersey. In this role, you will primarily focus on accounts payable tasks while ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial processes. This is a long-term contract position offering an excellent opportunity to build foundational skills in accounting within the energy and natural resources industry.

Responsibilities:

Process and manage accounts payable transactions with accuracy and timeliness.

Utilize SAP software to record and track financial data effectively.

Review invoices and payment requests to ensure compliance with company policies.

Collaborate with internal teams to resolve discrepancies and maintain smooth workflows.

Assist in maintaining organized financial records for auditing purposes.

Support month-end closing activities and prepare necessary reports.

Communicate with vendors to address payment inquiries and ensure proper documentation.

Monitor and follow up on outstanding invoices to maintain positive vendor relationships.

Contribute to improving accounts payable processes for enhanced operational efficiency. Requirements - Basic understanding of accounts payable processes and principles.

Experience working with SAP or similar accounting software.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, onsite environment.

Excellent communication skills for interacting with vendors and team members.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.

Capability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Willingness to learn and adapt to new accounting procedures.
