Position: Manufacturing Manager

Location: Elmwood Park, NJ

Shift: First Shift

Pay: Up to $120k based on experience

The Manufacturing Manager is responsible for overseeing daily production operations and ensuring all projects are executed in accordance with established schedules, quality standards, and operational goals. Reporting to the Production Director, this role provides leadership across manufacturing departments, drives continuous improvement initiatives, and ensures an effective balance between productivity, cost control, and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the production execution and scheduling of all projects assigned by the Production Director.

Develop, maintain, and manage schedules for new and in-process work orders to ensure on-time delivery.

Monitor lead personnel performance and workflow execution; adjust staffing, priorities, and processes as needed.

Supervise assigned manufacturing employees and maintain accountability for product quality within assigned departments.

Support departmental management activities, including hiring, onboarding, training, performance management, corrective actions, annual reviews, and terminations as required.

Motivate, coach, and provide ongoing guidance to production staff to promote engagement, accountability, and performance.

Evaluate machine capacity, utilization, and resources to support process improvement and operational efficiency.

Establish and maintain a balance between increased productivity and reduced manufacturing costs.

Set productivity targets and lead process improvement initiatives to achieve operational goals.

Develop, implement, and maintain workflow policies, procedures, and standard operating practices.

Provide backup support, as needed, for programming or operation of laser and punch press machines.

Champion continuous improvement efforts across manufacturing operations.

Collaborate closely with leadership and cross-functional teams, including the Production Director, President, and Engineering, to align manufacturing goals with organizational objectives.

Qualifications:

Proven experience in a manufacturing management or supervisory role (metals, medical device preferred).

Strong knowledge of production scheduling, workflow optimization, and quality control practices.

Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop teams in a manufacturing environment.

Experience with process improvement initiatives and cost-reduction strategies.

Working knowledge of manufacturing equipment and production technologies.

Strong organizational, communication, and problem solving skills.

Ability to collaborate effectively with leadership and cross functional teams.

This is a Permanent position based out of Elmwood Park, NJ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $120000.00/yr.
