Accounts Payable Clerk

Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in Galveston, Texas. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices while collaborating closely with vendors and internal teams. This position requires a detail-oriented individual who can handle high volumes of invoices efficiently and maintain excellent organizational skills.

Responsibilities:

Process a high volume of invoices with precision and attention to detail.

Maintain vendor and customer accounts, ensuring all information is accurate and up-to-date.

Perform invoice coding and review to ensure compliance with company policies.

Conduct regular check runs and verify payment accuracy.

Collaborate with team members to resolve discrepancies and address vendor inquiries.

Utilize Oracle, NetSuite, or similar accounting systems for financial tasks and recordkeeping.

Ensure compliance with established procedures and deadlines.

Monitor accounts payable workflows and suggest improvements to enhance efficiency.

Prepare documentation for audits and assist with reporting as needed. Requirements - Proven experience in accounts payable or a related finance role.

Proficiency in coding invoices and processing payments.

Familiarity with accounting systems such as Oracle or NetSuite is preferred.

Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Ability to handle high volumes of invoices accurately and efficiently.

Excellent communication skills for vendor and team interactions.

Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining financial accuracy.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
