Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Dickinson, Texas. This is a contract position designed to provide coverage during a maternity leave, offering a great opportunity to apply your financial expertise in a collaborative work environment. The role requires working 100% onsite and focuses on ensuring accurate and efficient processing of invoices and payments.

Responsibilities:

Process and verify invoices to ensure accurate payment records.

Assign appropriate codes to invoices to maintain organized financial documentation.

Conduct regular check runs to ensure timely and accurate payment processing.

Review and reconcile accounts payable transactions to resolve discrepancies.

Maintain thorough and up-to-date records of all accounts payable activities.

Collaborate with team members to address vendor inquiries and payment issues.

Ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations in all payable operations.

Prepare and submit reports detailing accounts payable activities.

Assist in month-end closing processes related to accounts payable.

Monitor and track payment schedules to avoid delays or missed deadlines. Requirements - Proven experience in accounts payable or a similar financial role.

Strong knowledge of invoice processing and coding procedures.

Familiarity with conducting check runs and maintaining payment schedules.

Ability to work onsite in Dickinson, Texas.

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office tools.

Effective communication skills for interacting with vendors and internal teams.

Ability to adhere to deadlines and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
