Noblis is seeking an experienced Marketing Associate to join our dynamic team in Reston, VA.
As our Marketing Associate, you'll shape our external brand presence across digital channels, social media, thought leadership, and strategic communications. Your mission? Responsibilities Include:
Develop and execute organic social media strategy across LinkedIn, Meta, YouTube, and emerging social platforms to grow audience engagement and help position Noblis as an Science & Technology powerhouse.
Lead thought leadership content development, identifying opportunities for executive visibility, bylined articles, speaking engagements, and expert commentary.
Manage external digital presence including content strategy, SEO optimization, and user experience for noblis.org.
Collaborate with media relations to amplify press coverage, secure earned media placements, and respond to reporter inquiries.
Drive competitive intelligence efforts, monitoring industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities for brand differentiation.
Support integrated marketing campaigns including the Noblis 30th Anniversary initiative with creative briefs, content development, and performance tracking.
Partner with Internal Communications, Creative Services, and Marketing Operations to ensure brand consistency and measurable impact across all external channels.
Analyze campaign performance metrics and provide data-driven recommendations to optimize engagement, reach, and ROI.
This is a hybrid role, with 1 to 2 days on-site per week.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree with 3 years of experience OR Master's degree with 1 year of experience OR Associate degree with 6 years of experience OR High School diploma with 9 years of related experience.
Degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related field.
Experience in digital marketing, social media management, or external communications.
US Citizenship is required.
Proven track record developing and executing successful social media and content marketing strategies with measurable results.
Strong writing and storytelling skills with ability to translate complex technical concepts into compelling narratives for diverse audiences.
Experience with social media management tools, web analytics platforms (Google Analytics), and content management systems.
Desired Qualifications
Experience in government contracting, technology, or science-focused organizations.
Familiarity with SEO best practices, paid digital advertising, and marketing automation platforms.
Ability to support in-person events, activities, and initiatives, as needed.
Active U.S. government security clearance or ability to obtain one.

Compensation at Noblis is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the combination of education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, internal and external equity, location, clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability, organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. The projected compensation range for this position is based on full time status. For part time or on-call staff, compensation is proportionately adjusted based on hours worked. While monetary compensation is important, it's just one component of Noblis' total compensation package.
