Essential Job Functions
Serves as a technical expert to the department (e.g., customers, departmental managers, system administrators, vendors, developers) on issues/areas.
Implements and supports information technology projects in the department such as development, infrastructure, and system migration projects and system architecture planning.
Develops and provides recommendations to improve existing information technology processes.
Develops, administers, monitors, and evaluates contracts and contract activities provided by external vendors.
Prepares a variety of technical documents (e.g. systems configuration, change control procedures, project schedules, progress reports, system requirement documents, migration plans, technical instructions).
Requirements
REQUIREMENTS TO QUALIFY:
Two (2) years of experience, within the last three (3) years, at the level of Los Angeles County's class of Principal Application Developer, Principal Information Systems Analyst, Principal Operating Systems Analyst, Principal Network Systems Administrator, or Database Administrator.*
LICENSE:
A valid California Class C Driver License or the ability to utilize an alternative method of transportation when needed to carry out job-related essential functions.
PHYSICAL CLASS:
Physical Class 2 - Light: This class includes administrative and clerical positions requiring light physical effort that may include occasional light lifting to a 10-pound limit and some bending, stooping, or squatting. Considerable ambulation may be involved.
