Our client, a leading manufacturing organization in California, is seeking a dedicated and innovative Senior Manufacturing Engineer to join their dynamic team. As a Senior Manufacturing Engineer, you will be an integral part of the Manufacturing Department supporting cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, proactive communication, and a passion for continuous improvement, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Senior Manufacturing Engineer

Location: Irwindale, California

Pay Range: $95000 - $120000

What's the Job?

Own the design, implementation, validation, and long-term sustaining of manufacturing processes to ensure safe, repeatable, and cost-effective production throughout the product lifecycle.

Design, improve, and sustain production cells, tooling, fixtures, and test setups using lean principles, single-piece flow, and error-proofing to enhance throughput, quality, and operator efficiency.

Lead root cause analysis, corrective actions, and verification of effectiveness for sustaining activities including MRBs, nonconformances, supplier escapes, and production issues.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Production, Quality, Supply Chain, R&D) to resolve manufacturing and supplier issues, making data-driven decisions that prioritize long-term process health.

Support and improve site KPIs such as Safety, OEE, OTD, labor efficiency, scrap, and capacity by identifying gaps, proposing countermeasures, and tracking measurable improvements.

What's Needed?

5-10+ years of hands-on Manufacturing/Operations Engineering experience in a production environment.

Proven success in stabilizing manufacturing processes in mid-to-high volume production settings.

Experience owning manufacturing outcomes, including ECO/ECRs, First Article support, process changes, and method sheet development.

Strong focus on process robustness, repeatability, and removal of unnecessary testing, with the ability to translate design intent into manufacturable solutions.

Advanced experience designing production fixtures and tooling using NX or SolidWorks preferred.
