Accounts Receivable Specialist

Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team in York, Maine. In this long-term contract position, you will play a crucial role in managing financial transactions, ensuring timely payments, and maintaining accurate records. Responsibilities:

Process and manage accounts receivable transactions with accuracy and efficiency.

Handle cash applications and reconcile payments to ensure proper allocation.

Monitor and follow up on outstanding commercial collections to minimize overdue balances.

Generate invoices and oversee billing functions to maintain timely and accurate billing processes.

Track and report on cash activity to support financial planning and analysis.

Communicate with clients and stakeholders to resolve payment discrepancies and inquiries.

Maintain detailed records of transactions and update systems to reflect current account statuses.

Collaborate with internal teams to streamline accounts receivable procedures and improve efficiency.

Prepare reports and summaries for management to provide insights into accounts receivable performance.

Ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations throughout all processes. Requirements - Proven experience in accounts receivable or a similar financial role.

Strong knowledge of cash applications and commercial collections processes.

Ability to manage billing functions and reconcile payment discrepancies.

Proficiency in tracking and reporting cash activities.

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and team members.

Familiarity with financial systems and software used in accounts receivable processes.

Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
