Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. This Contract-to-permanent position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to essential accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and data management. The ideal candidate will bring precision and efficiency to daily tasks while supporting overall financial processes.

SCHEDULE: Mondays- 8 - 4

Tues, wed and thursday - 8- 12.

Responsibilities:

Process accounts payable transactions, ensuring accuracy and timely payments.

Manage accounts receivable activities, including invoicing and payment tracking.

Perform precise data entry to maintain accurate financial records.

Handle invoice processing and resolve discrepancies as needed.

Support benefit functions and assist in benefits administration tasks.

Collaborate with team members to streamline accounting workflows.

Generate reports and summaries to support financial decision-making.

Maintain organized documentation and ensure compliance with company policies.

Assist in reconciling accounts and preparing for audits.

Provide general administrative support to the accounting department.

Requirements - Proficiency in accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

Strong data entry skills with a focus on accuracy.

Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software.

Familiarity with invoice processing and resolving discrepancies.

Basic understanding of benefit functions and administration.

Ability to work independently and collaborate within a team.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Excellent communication skills for interacting with team members and vendors.
