The System Offices is one of several system members within the Texas A&M University System representing one of the largest systems of higher education in the nation, with a network of 12 universities, a comprehensive health science center, nine state agencies, and the RELLIS Campus. The Texas A&M University System mission is to provide education, conduct research, commercialize technology, offer training, and deliver services for the people of Texas and beyond.

Salary:

$16.04 - $25.75 per hour commensurate with experience.

Job Description Summary:

This position will be responsible for providing general assistance to one or more attorneys in the Institutional Compliance section of the Office of General Counsel.

Responsibilities:- Review incoming correspondence for responses required, deadline dates, scheduling of meetings, etc.- Prepare standard letters and forms and draft routine correspondence.

Prepares draft significant matter reports.

Finalize attorneys' correspondence, legal opinions, contracts, reports and other legal documents.

Prepare responses to subpoenas.- Maintain detailed database file on each active file, including all incoming and outgoing correspondence.- Maintain attorneys' calendar, schedule appointments, and coordinate meetings.- Coordinate attorneys' travel arrangements, prepare travel and leave forms, and submit expenses for attorneys' reimbursement.- Answer telephone, direct requests and/or take messages.

Prepare conference rooms and setup for meetings.

Greet clients/visitors.- Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:- High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.- Six years of related experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:- Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, database, and presentation applications.- Interpersonal and communication skills.

Planning and organization skills.

Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
