Job Title: Quality Process Controller - 2nd Shift Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Quality Process Controller to join our team on the 2nd shift. In this role, you will be responsible for recording critical 'in process' parameters within a forge environment, ensuring the accuracy and compliance of production processes.

Responsibilities

Record optical pyrometer readings for tooling and material temperatures, both on and off die.

Monitor furnace soak times, forging times, and ramp-up times.

Extract rolling parameters and tonnage data from specific ring-roll mills and presses.

Report any 'in process' non-conformances to the Quality Department and other relevant parties.

Maintain and archive documentation according to company procedures.

Interpret blueprints and measure parts in accordance with them.

Interface with other departments to ensure smooth operations.

Maintain a safe and organized workstation, adhering to all company policies and procedures.

Perform furnace pyrometry activities, including SATs and furnace inspections.

Support the calibration of furnaces, tools, and optical pyrometers.

Conduct Quality Forge and Forge Furnace Audits.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

Attention to detail

Proficiency in computer skills and data entry

Ability to interpret blueprints

Understanding of company procedures and work instructions

Must have correctable vision to meet work requirements

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Comfortable working in a hot production environment

Experience working with a Forge Helper team

Must complete an Export Controls Questionnaire

Possession of a passport, birth certificate, or permanent resident card

Work Environment

The position is based in a production environment that is very hot and can be dirty, with work occurring both inside and outside. Initial training is provided on the 1st shift, starting at 5 am, before transitioning to the 2nd shift from 1 pm to 9:30 pm.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rancho Cucamonga, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.75 - $21.75/hr.
