Appointments may be full-time or part-time and may be limited to one semester. This does not constitute a posting for vacancies, but establishes a pool of applicants should openings occur during the 2025-26 academic year. Applicants will be selected from this pool on an as-needed basis throughout the current academic year. Appointments may be renewable based on need, funding, and performance. Duties/responsibilities -prepare and deliver lectures (20%) -prepare homework assignments, quizzes and exams (20%) -hold office hours (15%) -assess student work (20%) -supervise the teaching assistants (15%) -manage the administration of the course (10%) This position is not eligible for H-1B visa sponsorship. Qualifications Required Qualifications -Masters degree in mechanical engineering or a related field required for appointment. -The ability to instruct effectively at both the graduate and undergraduate levels to a diverse group of engineering students is required. -Expertise and documented teaching activities must demonstrate a strong potential to enhance the department's teaching missions. Preferred Qualifications -Experience teaching engineering curriculum at an institute of higher education is highly desired. About the Department The Department of Mechanical Engineering has an internationally recognized faculty, and is part of the College of Science and Engineering, the highly interdisciplinary college of engineering, physical sciences, and mathematics. Pay and Benefits Fixed Pay Rate: $3,100 per course credit; depending on course assignment(s).
