Description We are looking for a dedicated Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Littleton, Colorado. This Contract to permanent position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic finance and accounting department. The ideal candidate will excel in managing accounts payable processes, vendor communications, and reconciliation tasks while maintaining accuracy and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

Process and manage accounts payable invoices, including matching to purchase orders, coding expenses, and routing for approval.

Retrieve invoices from vendor portals and third-party systems while ensuring timely and accurate entry.

Reconcile vendor statements and promptly address any discrepancies, including outstanding invoices and credits.

Handle vendor and internal inquiries efficiently, providing clear and thorough communication.

Prepare and execute vendor payments via check, ACH, and online payment platforms.

Assist with daily banking tasks such as running reports, reconciling accounts, and processing deposits.

Scan, distribute, and organize incoming mail, invoices, and statements for accurate record-keeping.

Support cash management activities and assist in account reconciliations related to accounts payable disbursements.

Collaborate with the accounting team on acquisition integrations and other accounting tasks as needed.

Ensure compliance with lien waiver requirements by reviewing and collecting necessary documentation. Requirements - Proven experience in accounts payable processes, with 3-5 years in a similar role.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure accuracy in financial tasks.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, with knowledge of accounting or construction management systems being a plus.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact effectively with vendors and internal teams.

Positive attitude and adaptability to learn new processes and tools.

Preferred experience with Vista software and familiarity with the construction industry.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred but not required.
