Job Focus Area
The Administrative Coordinator 2 (WAE) is a high-impact, role within the Fraud Section of the Division of Early Childhood, dedicated to protecting the integrity of the Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP) during a critical surge in renewals and applications. This role will serve as a vital liaison for fraud referrals and payment investigations, ensuring strict compliance with state and federal policies while collaborating across units. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to the mission of ensuring that essential child care services reach eligible families efficiently.
Candidates with the following experience are encouraged to apply:
Expertise in researching fraud referrals, identifying payment discrepancies, and reviewing complex documents like CCAP applications for strict policy compliance
Ability to act as a primary point of contact between internal departments and external entities to coordinate fraud and quality control initiatives.
Proficiency in drafting formal department correspondence regarding investigations and policy changes.
Minimum Qualifications
One year of experience in administrative services.
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 15 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will substitute for six months of the required experience.

Job Duties and Other Information
Job Duties:
Accurately entering applicant information into a database or case management system. This includes managing both digital and physical files, ensuring all documents are organized and easily accessible.
Handling a large volume of communication, including phone calls and emails, from applicants, about the status of applications
Application Review : review each application and all supporting documents (like pay stubs, school schedules, and tax returns) to ensure they are complete. If something is missing, you'll need to notify the applicant.
Ensuring the authenticity and accuracy of all provided documents.
Position-Specific Details:
Appointment Type: This is a part-time WAE position and is not eligible for benefits or paid holidays and has a limit to the number of hours worked ( maximum of 1245 hours ) in a 12-month period, beginning with the first day of employment. The hours belong to the employee, and any available hours follow the employee.
Work Location: The person hired for this position is expected to regularly report to the Baton Rouge office.
Work Schedule: Work hours are Monday -- Friday. Work hours will be determined.
Compensation: The salary offered will be determined based on qualifications and experience.
**Note regarding the advertised pay range: The maximum amounts listed are the maximum salary amounts a person can make over their career and not the maximum amount we are allowed to pay a new hire .
