Description

Our trusted client is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant Consultant for a long-term engagement. This offers the opportunity to manage key balance sheet accounts and contribute to month-end close processes. The day-to-day responsibilities include:

Oversee and maintain specific balance sheet accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

Prepare and post journal entries to support month-end and year-end closing activities.

Conduct thorough account reconciliations, identifying discrepancies and resolving issues promptly.

Perform bank reconciliations to ensure alignment between financial records and bank statements.

Merge multiple operational software systems into SAP Business One during each month-end close.

Serve as a hands-on resource, working closely with the billing team to ensure transactions are posted correctly and flow directly to the General Ledger (GL).

Collaborate with manufacturing partners to align data and processes so entries feed into the GL accurately.

Perform daily reconciliations between the billing software and bank activity, ensuring all items match and discrepancies are resolved promptly.

Provide support for audits by preparing documentation and addressing inquiries.

Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions to enhance efficiency.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have the following skill set:

Strong Senior Accountant or Senior GL Accountant background with heavy General Ledger ownership

Healthcare industry experience required

Experience working in complex healthcare models, including traditional insurance billing structures

Prior exposure to PE-backed, high-growth organizations

Cash-to-accrual accounting experience

Acquisition integration experience (preferred), especially supporting new entities after purchase

Ability to operate in fast-paced, evolving environments typical of healthcare growth and consolidation
