Hands on position starting mid to end February, 2026 for six months and potentially up to 12 months.

Location: Onsite - Marlborough, MA

Based at our Marlborough site, in this Research Intern role, you will serve as critical contributor to the development and integration of Sartorius' emerging technologies for formulation and characterization of Lipid Nanoparticles. These leading-edge platforms will be utilized in basic research as well as the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries.

As a Research Intern (Lipid Nanoparticle), you will contribute to the full product development cycle-from concept to proto@type-and collaborate closely with engineers and scientists in a multidisciplinary environment.

What you will accomplish together with us:

Establish, execute, and maintain protocols for the preparation andcharacterization of lipid nanoparticle (LNP) formulations encapsulatingnucleic acid cargo using automated LNP synthesis platforms.

Design and conduct DOE-driven formulation and process optimizationstudies to improve LNP quality attributes, including particle size, stability,encapsulation efficiency, and biological performance.

Perform in vitro assays to assess transfection efficiency and delivery ofnucleic acids using formulated LNPs in mammalian cell systems.

Support process development activities for LNP screening, scale-up, andmanufacturing-relevant workflows.

Assist in programming, operating, and optimizing automated liquid handlingand laboratory automation systems.

Collect, analyze, and interpret experimental data; prepare technicalsummaries and present results in internal meetings and reviews.

What will convince us:

PhD graduate or student in Bioengineering, or closely related discipline with formal education and experience with lipid Nanoparticles.

Hands-on experience with LNP formulation characterization techniques and biological assays used to evaluate key LNP properties Experience with mammalian cell culture and maintenance.Proficiency with Python programming is a plus Familiarity with laboratory automation and data acquisition

Experience with DOE and basic statistical analysis tools for experimental design and data interpretation.

Compensation is up to $30 an hr.
