As a Data Scientist III - Fulfillment Insights, you will work at the intersection of advanced analytics, GenAI, and real-world business decision-making. Your mission is to solve some of Sam's Club's most complex fulfillment and supply chain challenges-improving delivery speed, reducing cost-to-serve, and enhancing the member experience.
This is a highly visible, business-facing role on a team recognized as a thought partner to E-Commerce, Fulfillment, and Product leadership. You'll take ambiguous problems, translate them into analytical opportunities, and deliver scalable models and insights that shape how millions of members receive their orders. You'll also work closely with cutting-edge GenAI agents, helping define the future of data science within Sam's Club.

What You'll Do
Own and solve complex fulfillment problems across transportation, fulfillment centers, and pre and post purchase ecommerce workflows-turning loosely defined questions into data-driven strategies.
Develop and deploy advanced analytical and statistical models that influence fulfillment strategy, delivery speed, and cost efficiency at scale.
Partner directly with business leaders and product teams, translating business goals into analytical approaches and clearly communicating insights in plain language.
Leverage SQL, Python, Power BI, and GenAI tools to explore data, engineer features, and build scalable solutions that operate in production environments.
Support and enhance GenAI agents, collaborating closely with teams shaping Sam's Club's next-generation analytics and decision-support capabilities.
Create compelling visualizations and narratives that drive action-not just reports.
What You'll Bring
A strong foundation in SQL, Python, and data visualization tools like Power BI, applied to real business problems.
Experience using statistical analysis, exploratory data analysis, and analytical modeling to generate insights that influence decisions.
Comfort working in business-facing environments, explaining complex data concepts in clear, practical terms.
Exposure to GenAI & LLMs with curiosity and enthusiasm for where the field is headed.
The ability to work independently - seeing problems through from ambiguity to solution, while communicating risks and roadblocks transparently.
A collaborative mindset and interest in mentoring and learning, contributing to a high-performing, growth-oriented team.

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $180,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location).
