Description We are looking for a skilled Accountant to join our team on a contract basis. This part-time, hybrid position is based in Millersville, Maryland, and requires expertise in financial management and accounting practices. If you are detail-oriented and have experience with month-end processes, this role offers an excellent opportunity to apply your skills.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and update prepaid expense schedules, including calculating and posting monthly expense recognition entries.

Conduct detailed analyses of the general ledger to identify capitalization and prepaid adjustments.

Perform accurate bank reconciliations to ensure financial records are up-to-date.

Post accrual reversals and miscellaneous accrual entries for prior months.

Manage the capitalization of fixed assets and calculate depreciation and amortization.

Reconcile Ramp card transactions, including initial cleanup and ongoing management.

Provide support for month-end close activities, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.

Utilize Microsoft Dynamics Business Central and other financial systems to streamline accounting processes. Requirements - Proficiency in managing accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and general ledger activities.

Strong understanding of journal entries and debits/credits.

Experience in performing bank reconciliations with attention to detail.

Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is preferred.

Ability to work efficiently in a dynamic, catch-up environment post-system implementation.

Previous experience with Field Boss is a plus.

Excellent organizational and analytical skills for managing financial data.

Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members.
