The Division of Science and Mathematics at Newman University, a mission-driven, Catholic, liberal arts university, invites applicants for an adjunct instructor for theSpring 2026Semesterto teachPhysiologyon campus to undergraduate science students. On campus classes begin on January 20, 2026.

Adjunct faculty contribute to the enrichment of our curriculum and work collaboratively with our faculty with teaching, learning and assessment. They are models of educatedpeople, exemplifying the virtues theyseekto inspire in students -- curiosity, tolerance, honesty, fairness, and respect for diversity.

Work Performed:

Teach undergraduate courses as assigned in keeping with departmental, university and accreditation standards, policies, and procedures. Meet with the Division Chair a minimum of 2 weeks prior to the beginning of the course to review syllabus, course materials, etc. Inform students of their progress by promptly returning assignments, quizzes, and examinations withappropriate feedback. Submitmid-term and final grades on Jet Stream bydesignateddeadlines.

Utilizethe Learning Management System and other technology asappropriate todeliver and enhance the learning experience.

Requirements:

Masters degree in Biology (Doctorate degree preferred) or professional experience related to physiology. University level online teaching experience.

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
