Job Title: DrafterJob Description

We are offering an exciting entry-level drafting position in the telecommunications department of a leading engineering firm. This role provides an opportunity to receive comprehensive training from various department members, aimed at understanding the client, the processes for assigning and monitoring work, the nature of the tasks, and the use of required software. The work involves managing a high volume of jobs, necessitating strong multitasking and prioritization skills. Administrative tasks will require proficiency in Microsoft Office programs. This full-time position is ideal for individuals looking to establish a long-term career in the drafting and design field.

Responsibilities

Support the telecommunications department with drafting tasks.

Manage and prioritize a high volume of jobs effectively.

Complete jobs using the required software, including Microstation and AutoCAD.

Perform administrative duties to meet client requirements.

Utilize Microsoft Office programs for various tasks.

Essential Skills

Proficiency in Microstation and AutoCAD.

Ability to multitask and prioritize urgent tasks.

Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience or willingness to self-teach Microstation.

Background in drafting, telecom, or utility relocation.

Ability to pass drug, Background, and potentially driving record checks.

The position is based in-office, working as part of the team with a flexible schedule, provided it is consistent and aligns with core working hours. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sparks Glencoe, MD.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
