Supplier Quality Engineer

Responsible for ensuring the quality level of purchased materials, components, and assemblies;

Coordinate with Purchasing Department to monitor supplier performance, generating regular reports and administering corrective actions as necessary;

Create material inspection criteria for both manufactured and purchased products (e.g.: sampling plans and inspection interval frequencies) based on engineering standards;

Resolve non-conformance issues with supplied materials and follow up with suppliers for completion of corrective actions;

Obtain and manage all PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) and all raw material certification documentation per project;

Develop standards and requirements for purchased components such as packaging, labeling, FAI's (First Article Inspections);

Support new product launches, ensuring compliance with established product designs build tolerances and raw material standards;

Evaluate supplier data to initiate process improvement opportunities along the suppliers;

Responsible for ensuring that all products are free from defects and in compliance with manufacturing, engineering, and government standards;

Coordinate and participate in the investigation and resolution of customer complaints or internal/supplier quality issues; initiate corrective action, containment, control, and verification measures;

Perform supplier audits and create quality control plans to ensure solid processes are in place and resolve quality issues to allow for a streamlined supply chain;

Coordinate and support PFMEA, control plans and CAPA needs; and

Coordinate PCN activities for QA Department.

Requirements: Master's degree in Industrial Engineering; and must have taken "Lean Operations and Manufacturing" and "Production Systems" courses.
