Position Overview:
As part of the talented Boston Whaler team, you will improve products and processes through the innovative use of new technology. This new technology includes materials, tooling, automation, production processes, and information technology. Position is also considered a Senior level role and will require supervision a small team of salaried personnel.

Essential Functions:
Provide daily guidance for Engineers and ME Technicians to support current production.
Create innovative solutions to increase manufacturing throughput and built in quality
Work with Operations and Quality to support daily production
Participate in High Performance Teams as support to engineers to achieve SQDP goals
Participate in GEMBA Walks
Create innovative solutions to increase manufacturing throughput and built in quality
Identify projects that support the Safety, financial and quality goals of Boston Whaler
Participate in Line Balancing events to support dynamic production schedules.
Support the ECN and deviation processes
Integrate PFMEA process
Manage current tooling and processes
Utilize Six Sigma Methods to increase productivity and reduce costs

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree Engineering, Engineering Technology, Material Science or Equivalent Experience.
Demonstrate problem solving, team, and interpersonal skills used to influence others to accomplish identified objectives
3-5 Years of Team Leading Experience
7-10 Years of Manufacturing Engineering at Focused Factory Level
Tool Design
Print Standards
Six Sigma Yellow Belt
APQP Standards (PFMEA, Control Plan, JES)
Fiberglass (FRP) Experience is a Plus
Ability to utilize basic metrology tools
Ability to work independently
Proven self-starter
This role involves both indoor and outdoor work across various facility and grounds settings. Outdoor duties require exposure to Florida's natural elements, including high humidity, extreme heat, heavy rain, and occasional storms. Work may be performed on uneven terrain and in areas with dust, gas, or fumes. Seasonal tasks such as hurricane preparation and cleanup may be required.

Shop floor working environment.
Shop floor is non-climate controlled. Temperature fluctuates with outside environmental conditions, such as air temperature, radiant heat from sunlight, air movement, and humidity levels.
Frequent exposure to high-temperatures, including a hot and humid environment, especially during summer months.
Noise level is moderate with intervals of spikes
Required to wear safety glasses, Tyvex aprons, half mask respirator, and utilize other safety equipment and personal protection equipment (PPE) while present on the production/shop floor.
Frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts, resins, fiberglass dust & cloths, epoxy, composites, and other chemicals.
Ability to walk or stand for extended periods of times.
Ability to work a 10+ hour shift standing, bending, reaching
Ability to regularly bend, stoop, kneel, twist, crouch, reach, climb, and lift or move up to 50 pounds.
Vision abilities required include close vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception. Regularly required to stand, walk, climb, bend, kneel, and reach
Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment such as mowers, loaders, and plows
May need to work at heights or in confined spaces
Must be able to respond to emergency maintenance needs, sometimes outside of regular hours
The anticipated pay range for this position is $60,000 to $110,500 annually. The actual base pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location. In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
At Brunswick, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the salary range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the specifics of the candidate's qualifications and the business @context.
