Junior Accountant

Our client has partnered with Robert Half in their search for a Junior Accountant! This light-level position is ideal for candidates who have recently completed an accounting internship or have a year+ in a similar role. The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of basic accounting principles, especially a solid understanding of debits and credits and experience with preparing journal entries and reconciliations.

You'll play a key role in supporting the day-to-day accounting operations and gain hands-on experience in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and post journal entries accurately and on time.

Help process accounts payable and receivable transactions as needed.

Support bank and account reconciliations.

Assist with ad-hoc accounting projects.

Ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable accounting standards and company policies.

Work closely with other team members to maintain accurate and organized financial records.

Requirements

Minimum of 1 year of experience in accounting or a related field (or strong internship experience will be considered)

Proficiency in preparing journal entries and maintaining general ledger accounts.

Strong understanding of debits, credits, and their application in financial transactions.

Experience with account reconciliation and resolving discrepancies.

Familiarity with accounting software and tools.

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Ability to meet deadlines and work effectively in a team environment.

Strong communication skills for collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
