Key Responsibilities:

Process bi-weekly payroll for all town employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with policies and regulations.

Maintain employee payroll records including wages, deductions, and benefits.

Review and reconcile timesheets, overtime, and leave balances.

Prepare and submit payroll-related reports for management and state/federal agencies.

Respond to employee inquiries regarding pay, deductions, and payroll policies.

Assist with year-end processing including W-2 preparation.

Requirements

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent (associate's or bachelor's degree preferred).

2-4 years of payroll experience, preferably in a municipal or government setting.

Knowledge of wage, hour, and tax regulations.

Proficiency with payroll software and intermediate Excel skills.

Strong attention to detail, confidentiality, and customer service focus.
