Are you an experienced accounting professional with a strong grasp of QuickBooks and exceptional attention to detail? Our client, a growing company in the Old Lyme, CT area, is looking for a Staff Accountant to join their team on a contract-to-permanent basis. If you have at least 3 years of accounting experience and thrive in a collaborative and dynamic work environment, this opportunity might be perfect for you!

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with month-end close processes, including journal entry preparation and general ledger reconciliations

Maintain and reconcile balance sheet accounts

Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and alignment with company goals

Support budgeting and forecasting initiatives

Manage accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) as needed

Assist with collections and follow-up on outstanding invoices

Collaborate with internal departments to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting

Provide support during year-end audits and ensure compliance with financial policies

Requirements

Experience: Minimum of 3 years in an accounting role

Technical Skills: Proficiency with QuickBooks is required, as well as general knowledge of accounting principles and tools

Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred but not required with substantial relevant experience

Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage deadlines effectively

Excellent communication and collaboration skills
