Description Essential Functions

· Daily bank deposits via electronic transmission, Daily Cash updates, Monthly bank reconciliation

· Entry of all Accounts Payable invoices and management of Accounts Payable Aging

· Generate A/P checks on a weekly basis

· Maintain Fixed Assets Invoices, and CIP reconciliation

· Reconcile eMenu, PayPal transactions

· Positive Pay file upload to bank

· Reconcile and record credit card accounts for multiple employees

· Record ACH payments against A/P in accounting system

· Verify new A/P vendors through OIG system

· Maintain records for vendor form W9 and insurance liability certificates

· Generate and distribute year end 1099's

· Reconciliation of various accounts as needed

· Property Tax Declarations for the town

· Unclaimed Property reports

· State Sales Tax filings

· Maintaining financial records

· Creates and posts adjusting journal entries as needed

· Upkeep of Prepaid Expense schedule

· Reconciliation of General Ledger accounts

· Tracking of restricted fund donations and related expenditures

· Preparation of analytical schedules

· Assisting the CFO with various financial audits, projects, balance sheet reconciliations and in preparation of the annual budget.

· Resource and interact with Department Managers

Educational Requirements

Must possess, as a minimum, two (2) years college or equivalent work experience.

Experience

Must have, as a minimum, two years' experience in Staff Accountant capacity.

Must have knowledge of processes and contracts, etc., covering business transactions.

Specific Requirements

Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.

Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.

Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public.

Must possess the ability and willingness to work harmoniously with other personnel.

Must have patience, tact, a cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm, as well as the willingness to handle difficult residents. Requirements Tax - Corporate, Sales Tax, Corporate Tax Return, Journal Entries, General Ledger, Great Plains (GPAC)
