SUMMARY: In this role, you will help sustain Mennel's tradition of excellence established in 1886 as well as support our food safety programs and mission to reliably deliver superior quality, uniformity, and service.

This position is responsible for assisting in various accounting functions. These functions include but are not limited to accounts payable and accounts receivable duties, account reconciliations, and various general accounting functions. You will assist in providing accurate and timely financial information that reflects the Company's financial condition, allowing Company management to make knowledgeable decisions.

PRIMARY WORK SHIFT:* Works shift as assigned and overtime as required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily with or without accommodation.

Follow all food and personal safety rules and regulations in respect to GMP's, OSHA, HACCP, the Global Food Safety Initiative, the US FDA Food Safety Modernization Act as stated in the FS&Q Statement, and sanitation guidelines as set forth by the company as listed in Corporate Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) and attend all required training sessions. Maintain the department/facility in an everyday audit ready condition.

Assists in period and year end reporting procedures.

Provides information to auditors during year-end audit

Assists in preparing and posting flour and feed cash receipts from lockbox

Assists in coding items such as invoices, vouchers, expense reports, check requests, etc. for data entry into the accounts payable system.

Assist with data entry into the Microsoft D365 system

Assist with quarterly CAT tax reporting

Provides support for clerical, accounting, and bookkeeping functions as a liaison to other departments.

Provides backup for A/P, A/R, and other accounting team members as needed

Other duties may be assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position has no supervisory duties.
QUALIFICATIONS: *

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required to perform this job.

Degree in Accounting or related field is preferred but not required.

A minimum of 2 years' experience in accounting or related field is required

Strong Skills in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and Power Point.

Must have good time management skills.

Well spoken, articulate and courteous verbal, written and phone correspondence.

Ability to multitask, be detail orientated and prioritize work schedule

Accuracy when working with numbers.

Must be able to work without supervision

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, memos, procedures, and plans. Ability to write, complete checklists and other basic documentation and corre
