Description We are looking for a dedicated Staff Accountant to join our team in Gardner, Massachusetts. This is a long-term contract position offering a dynamic opportunity to contribute to financial operations while ensuring accuracy and compliance. The ideal candidate will excel in managing general ledger tasks, reconciliations, and corporate tax processes.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and review journal entries to maintain accurate financial records.

Perform regular reconciliations to ensure consistency between accounts.

Manage general ledger activities and ensure compliance with accounting standards.

Handle corporate tax returns and ensure timely and accurate submissions.

Oversee sales tax computations and filings to meet regulatory requirements.

Assist in special financial projects, providing analytical insights and support.

Collaborate with team members to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.

Ensure adherence to corporate tax regulations and maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in laws.

Provide detailed reports and summaries to support decision-making processes. Requirements - Proven experience in corporate tax processes, including preparation and filing.

Strong knowledge of sales tax regulations and related filings.

Proficiency in preparing and reviewing journal entries.

Solid understanding of general ledger accounting and reconciliations.

Ability to manage corporate tax returns with accuracy and compliance.

Excellent analytical and organizational skills to handle complex financial data.

Familiarity with accounting software and tools.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
