SUNY Delhi seeks applications for energetic Cleaners to join the Custodial team. SUNY Delhi prides itself on being a welcoming college community for all. The college seeks a wide range of applicants for its positions so that inclusive excellence will be affirmed.

Cleaners perform a variety of routine manual tasks requiring light, medium, and heavy physical effort in cleaning and caring for an assigned area on campus. Areas include:

Academic and office buildings

Athletic facilities,

Student and community center

Student residence halls,

Health center

Adjacent grounds and sidewalks.

Cleaners work independently, and as part of a work team, performing a wide range of specialized and routine cleaning activities such as:

Stripping and polishing floors

Window washing

Vacuuming

Trash and recycling removal

Dusting and cleaning walls. Work requires cleaning specialized areas within buildings such as; office spaces, kitchens, common areas, lounges, laundry rooms, locker rooms, classrooms, and laboratories.

This job classification is non-supervisory.

Job Requirements:

Applicants must be physically able to perform medium to heavy physical labor.

Must be able to understand and carry out written or oral instructions.

Additional Information:

Permanent and Temporary position(s) available - can be either full-time (40 hrs/wk) or part-time (20 - 30 hrs/wk). The hours for the part-time positions can be flexible.

Class and Code: Non-competitive (1)

Unit: CSEA, Operational Services Unit (OSU) 03

Starting salary for full-time positions: $34,312/year, or $19.22/hour

Salary Grade: SG-5

Schedule: TBD

Reports to: Custodial Operations Manager
