Accounts Payable Clerk

Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Santa Fe Springs, California. This is a long-term contract position within the wholesale distribution industry, offering the opportunity to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in full-cycle accounts payable processes, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to handle heavy data entry efficiently.

Responsibilities:

Manage full-cycle accounts payable processes, including invoice verification, coding, and payment processing.

Perform three-way matching of invoices, purchase orders, and receipts to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Enter high volumes of data into accounting systems with precision and attention to detail.

Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.

Collaborate with internal departments to address invoice-related inquiries and support smooth operations.

Utilize Oracle software to manage accounts payable tasks and maintain accurate records.

Generate reports and assist with month-end accounts payable closing activities.

Maintain organized records of all transactions and ensure compliance with company policies.

Support process improvements within the accounts payable department to enhance efficiency.

Communicate effectively with vendors to address payment-related issues and maintain positive relationships. Requirements - Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts payable or a related role.

Proficiency in Oracle software is highly preferred.

Intermediate-level skills in Microsoft Excel, including familiarity with formulas and data analysis.

Ability to handle heavy data entry with accuracy and speed (Alpha 8,001-10,000 kph preferred).

Strong understanding of three-way matching and invoice reconciliation processes.

Excellent organizational and time-management skills to handle high volumes of transactions.

Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities to resolve discrepancies effectively.

Strong communication skills to liaise with vendors and internal teams.
