ABOUT YOU
As an Airport Utility Person (Bargaining Unit, Local Union No. 25), you are a dedicated and safety-conscious individual with expertise in general maintenance, signage, and equipment operation, ensuring the highest standards of compliance and safety at Worcester Regional Airport. You possess strong landscaping and groundskeeping skills, support wildlife control efforts, and exhibit physical strength and agility to perform physically demanding tasks. Committed to emergency response and teamwork, you are reliable, adaptable, and always ready to contribute to the mission of maintaining and enhancing the functionality and safety of the airport and its surrounding areas.
What you will do:
Performs repairs, preventative maintenance on airport facilities, and ensures airfield compliance with FAR Part 139 and ACM regulations, participating in recurrent training.
Manages landscaping tasks, including grass cutting, hedge trimming, and weed control, while also maintaining cleanliness by removing trash, painting streets, and handling heavy items.
Operates a range of heavy equipment, including snow removal and maintenance machinery, while performing preventative maintenance.
Swiftly responds to airport emergencies, following procedures and codes, and actively contributes as a member of the first response team.
WHAT YOU OFFER
Ability to read and demonstrate basic oral, written, mathematical, manual, and machinery operation skills, along with standard English communication.
Current and valid Commercial Driver's License / CDL B
