SUMMARY OF JOB PURPOSE AND FUNCTION: We are seeking a hands-on Manager of Datacenter Operations to lead and support the operations of our hybrid infrastructure, including on-premises datacenters and cloud environments in Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services (AWS). This role will be responsible for ensuring the performance, availability, and security of all infrastructure systems, both physical and virtual. The ideal candidate is a technically adept leader who can balance strategic oversight with day-to-day operational execution in a dynamic, enterprise-scale environment.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:
Lead the management and operation of enterprise on-premises datacenters including server hardware, storage systems, and power.
Ensure operational stability of hybrid infrastructure spanning on-prem environments, Azure, and AWS, including compute, storage, networking, and monitoring tools.
Oversee physical hardware lifecycle: provisioning, support, racking, cabling, decommissioning, and secure disposal.
Support cloud infrastructure operations including provisioning, resource optimization, governance (IAM), and tagging.
Knowledge of Backup/Restore functions. Experience using Veeam and Commvault products, VTL, D2D and Tape Library solutions.
Administration of Servers, SAN Storage, and Backup technologies, both physical and logical/virtual systems. Responsibilities also include various moves/adds/changes, server software installation and configuration, participation in project activities, performance tuning of the environment, infrastructure, process documentation.
Management of Service Now support ticketing workflows related to Datacenter Services.
The candidate must be capable of scaling, building, deploying, troubleshooting, and managing Windows, VMware and Linux Servers. The candidate must have experience with Active Directory, Entra ID, patch management, Group Policies and other Windows management tools.
Experience working with automation tools (Powershell, Terraform, Ansible, etc)
Lead root cause analysis and post-incident reviews for outages or performance issues.
Duties include the patching of MS Windows and Linux Servers, SAN Infrastructure (HPE Storage and Brocade Switches)
Gracefully scales with shifting business objectives and priorities, proactively attains understanding of IT environment and company culture, proactively researches and stays aligned with IT industry trends, provides recommendations for efficiency improvements.
Participates in planning, design, and execution of technical projects and tasks, participates in onsite and offsite training and education programs and events, periodically travels to remote locations to perform various technical and administrative tasks, periodically provides on-call support during non-business hours. Participate in Change Management processes.
Creates and maintains SOP documentation, maintains IT asset inventory, creates and maintains diagrams, creates and maintains environment health check workflows and templates, creates and implements backup/restore and disaster/site recovery plans and mechanisms, adheres to best practices when designing and implementing systems.
Fulfill other related duties as assigned.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
15+ years of hands-on datacenter networking, storage, server, virtualization, BCDR, and cloud experience in a large, multi-site environment, experience using automation/orchestration/DevOps tools, experience with PowerShell.
Advanced computer skills
Ability to read, write, and speak English
CERTIFICATION :
MCSE, MCITP, VCAP-DCV, ITIL, and/or PMP, BCDR, Azure Administrator & DevOps Certification, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator

Additional Information: Compensation is negotiable based on education, experience, and other relevant credentials. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $135,000 - $180,000.
