Responsibilities
What You'll Do:
The Business Development Executive (BDE) for Global Training Solutions is responsible for driving growth strategies across domestic and international defense, aerospace, and commercial training markets. This leader will identify, pursue, and secure high-value contracts with the U.S. Department of Defense, international ministries of defense, and commercial partners. The BDE will collaborate with program, engineering, finance, and operations leadership to align business development initiatives with long-term corporate objectives and shareholder value creation. The BDE will report to our Chief Growth Officer.
This position requires exceptional interpersonal communication and formal presentation skills; ability to interact with senior executives (both internal and external customers) in the development of long-term strategic goals. The selected leader will serve as the senior customer interface with Global Training Solutions customers, develop and maintain close trusted relationships and lead V2X in the execution of campaign plans.
The Global Training Solutions BDE will provide strategic focus and direction, operational insight, supervision of GTS assigned capture managers, and cross-functional coordination between the Business Development organization, program operations, and internal functional support to establish V2X as a leader in the Training, Training Support, Testing, and Range Operations market spaces. This position requires a strong blend of mission understanding, business acumen and how those combine to provide unmatched offerings to our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the Global Training Solutions Business Development Executive, developing long range strategic vision for the enterprise specific to Defense, Commercial, and International training.
Establish and nurture business relationships with senior leaders within the federal government acquisition corps and operational staffs
Build trusted relationships with key acquisition commands (e.g., USAF LCMC, USN NAVSEA/NAVAIR, Army PEOs, MDA, DARPA).
Develop detailed customer contact plans to gain insight into new opportunities for V2X, shape requirements ahead of acquisition plan development to best position V2X to create offerings that differentiate us from our competitors
Gain competitive intelligence on our competitor's performance and intentions
Support capture activities when solicitations are approaching Gates 2 and beyond (color review teams, strategy sessions, Gate reviews, etc.)
Support development and review proposals, providing expert analysis and guidance on solutions necessary to position V2X as the provider of choice
Builds, develops, and manages portfolio pipeline aligned with corporate objectives and market forecast (18-36-month focus)
Maintains senior client relationships in Training markets
Ensures portfolio CRM data quality, completeness, timeliness
Manages assigned capture managers enabling best PWin
Ensures portfolio pursuits at levels to ensure KPI success
Interact with customers not only before contract award, but also after award during execution to serve as the customer advocate, gain a position of trust that the customer can use to communicate program concerns, opportunities with the mindset that a satisfied customer is the best Business Development possible for incumbency positions
Maintain direct interface and trusted partnership with senior government stakeholders
Qualifications
Education / Certifications: One-year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.
Bachelor's degree in business, Engineering, or related field; Masters preferred
Required Experience and Qualifications
Minimum of 15 years of experience managing large-scale Defense Training BD efforts
Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills with internal teams and external customers in the development of long-term strategies
Proven leadership experience managing large-scale, complex teams and bids
Experience working directly with DoD training commands
Understanding of FAR/DFARS, government contracting, and
Ability to travel to CONUS and OCONUS locations as required
Experience creating executive briefings and formal communications to company and government key personnel
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in emerging defense technologies.
Global market development experience in NATO, Middle East, or Indo-Pacific regions.
Experience shaping emerging contract vehicles in defined training pipelines.
Skills & Technology Used:
Proficient in MS Project, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, and Customer Relationship Management Tools
Other Requirement:
United States citizenship required.
Active Secret required with ability to obtain Top Secret

The successful candidate's starting pay will be based on, but not limited to, their job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions.
The following salary range is intended to display the value of the company's base pay compensation and may be modified at the discretion of the company.
USD: $ 230,000-280,000
Provided salary range minimum and maximum values correspond to variances between regional/geographic locations across the United States.
