Low Voltage Installer

Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated Entry-Level Low Voltage Installer to join our commercial installation team. This role is ideal for individuals eager to start a career in electrical systems, with a focus on low voltage technologies such as structured cabling, security systems, and audio-visual installations. You'll work under the guidance of experienced technicians to install, test, and maintain low voltage systems in commercial environments.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in the installation of low voltage systems including:

Structured cabling (Cat5e, Cat6, fiber optics)

Security systems (CCTV, access control)

Fire alarm systems

Audio/visual equipment

Pull, route, terminate, and label cables according to project specifications

Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical documents

Mount and install hardware such as panels, jacks, and enclosures

Perform basic testing and troubleshooting of installed systems

Maintain a clean and safe job site, adhering to OSHA and company safety standards

Document work performed and materials used

Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required

Basic understanding of electrical or low voltage systems preferred

Ability to use hand and power tools safely

Comfortable working on ladders, lifts, and in confined spaces

Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Preferred Skills

Experience with cable testers and labeling tools

Familiarity with NEC and local building codes

Certifications such as OSHA 10, BICSI Installer, or manufacturer-specific training are a plus

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $27.00/hr.
