The Position
Education Programs Directors, Supervisors, and Professionals assist and foster the growth of early childhood, pre-K, K-12, postsecondary, adult, and related education programs throughout Nevada by providing technical assistance, training, and oversight.
The State Public Charter School Authority (SPCSA) is seeking to fill multiple Education Programs Professional positions which may be located in either Carson City or Las Vegas, depending on the location of the selected applicant. These are new positions slated to start October 13 and may be in the Career and Technical Education (CTE) program, special education program, or working with the Nevada Student Information System (currently Infinite Campus) with SPCSA.
The CTE position will develop and maintain policies and procedures regarding CTE programs, provide technical assistance to school-based personnel regarding these programs, review school-level reports and compile agency-level reports pertaining to these programs, serve as a liaison to the Nevada Department of Education, and provide training on these programs in alignment to identified needs. The special education position is responsible for the oversight and monitoring of state and federal special education programs in sponsored charter schools. This includes developing and maintaining policies and procedures regarding state and federal special education programs, providing technical assistance regarding these programs, reviewing school-level reports and compiling agency-level reports pertaining to these programs, serving as a liaison to the Nevada Department of Education, and providing training on these programs in alignment to identified needs. This Education Programs Professional is responsible for oversight of IDEA programmatic implementation at sponsored charter schools, as well as being responsible for receiving, reviewing and where appropriate, facilitating resolutions to constituent concerns regarding school special education programs. The Nevada Student Information System position is responsible for providing Infinite Campus support, training, and guidance to charter schools in the SPCSA portfolio. This position will design, implement, and maintain local database systems to house Infinite Campus, SPCSA, and state student data to facilitate data collections, validations, analyses, and reporting. In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in business, economics, education, English, math, psychology, science, sociology, or related field and one year of related experience applicable to the current vacancy.
Special Requirements
This position requires a pre-employment criminal history check and fingerprinting.
This position requires a valid driver's license or evidence of equivalent mobility at the time of appointment and as a condition of continuing employment.
