Communication Specialist-Telework Available. Bowhead Total Enterprise Solutions seeks a Communications Specialist experienced in internal and external communications to join our team in support of Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division located at Naval Air Station Patuxent River, MD.
Responsibilities
Create and edit newsletters, articles, news releases, fact sheets, talking points and other written content to stimulate internal and external interest in command accomplishments and enhance understanding of the command, its workforce, and mission
Draft columns, speeches, talking points and presentations for the organization's top executives
Conduct research to respond to media queries and pass research to the federal public affairs officer
Help leadership communicate effectively with their employees and the general public
Help maintain their organization's corporate image and identity
Evaluate marketing programs to determine whether they are compatible with their organization's public relations efforts
Qualifications
BS or BA degree in a writing-intensive field with 3 or more years of experience. Must have a solid command of writing articles, captions and other products in Associated Press style. Experience can substitute for education.
Physical Demands: Office Environment - - The environmental conditions consist of computer stations and desks with adequate and adjustable lighting. Chairs are designed to fit the various individuals and the tasks being performed. Ergonomic evaluations are completed as needed, to provide up to date modifications to all work stations.
Must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance. Applicants may be subject to a pre-employment drug & alcohol screening and/or random drug screen, and must follow UICs Non-DOT Drug & Alcohol Testing Program requirements.
