Accounting Specialist

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in Hollywood, Maryland. This role is crucial in ensuring accurate financial transactions and maintaining the integrity of our accounting processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and credit card reconciliation.

Responsibilities:

Manage accounts receivable processes, including invoicing and payment tracking.

Oversee accounts payable functions, ensuring timely and accurate disbursement of payments.

Perform credit card reconciliations to ensure all transactions are properly recorded.

Utilize SYSPRO software to maintain and update financial records.

Collaborate with team members to ensure compliance with auditing standards.

Handle billing functions and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.

Maintain accurate documentation and support reporting needs.

Assist with ERP-related accounting tasks to optimize financial workflows.

Ensure adherence to company policies and industry regulations in all accounting practices. Requirements - Proficiency in accounting software systems, including SYSPRO.

Strong experience with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

Familiarity with ERP systems and their application in accounting.

Solid understanding of auditing principles and billing functions.

Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage financial reconciliations.

Strong organizational and time management skills.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

Prior experience in a similar accounting role preferred.
