The Optum Bank (Bank) legal team is hiring a paralegal. This paralegal role will assist Bank attorneys with a variety of legal tasks including contract drafting, legal research, case management, and other strategic work to support the Bank's continued growth.

You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.

Primary Responsibilities:

Assist Bank attorneys with day-to-day legal needs

Draft legal agreements

Review title commitments for the Bank's commercial real estate lending portfolio

Review existing financing statements for potential borrowers and summarize the Bank's potential collateral position in support of direct and indirect lending programs

Review and monitor dockets for relevant filings

Assist with corporate governance matters

Attend Bank project meetings

Organize and store executed agreements for easy retrieval

Support additional projects and tasks, as assigned

Required Qualifications:

5+ years of paralegal experience

Familiarity with LexisNexis

Proven excellent written and verbal communications skills

Proven excellent attention to detail

Proven highly organized self-starter comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team and independently

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex projects under tight deadlines, navigating ambiguity and conflicting priorities with a problem-solving mindset

Preferred Qualifications:

Consumer and commercial credit experience

Consumer and commercial deposit account experience

Banking experience

Health savings account and/or flexible spending account experience

Experience with Regulation E and prepaid cards

Corporate governance experience

The salary range for this role is $59,500 to $116,600 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
