Job Description

General Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to work in various accounting areas including the processing of vendors invoices, billing, and project reporting in accordance with government and commercial contractual requirements. This position requires exceptional organizational and communication skills, accuracy, and the ability to navigate online billing systems.

Primary Responsibilities

Review and reconcile vendors billings and cost share for accuracy and compliance with federal cost principles, award requirements, and internal policies.

Work collaboratively with vendors, contractors and customers to resolve inconsistencies and problems identified within billings submitted.

Respond to inquiries related to invoices, payments, and account balances promptly and professionally.

Address and communicate invoice-related questions clearly, concisely, and professionally through emails or scheduled meetings.

Prepare and submit monthly invoices, accruals, and supporting documentation to customers through various online portals/emails, ensuring accuracy and adherence to contractual and regulatory requirements.

Process cash receipts and cash disbursements in accordance with approved policies and procedures.

Maintain accurate records of transactions related to customer billings, accounts payable, and cost share contributions.

Maintain tracking of issues regarding vendor/contractor/subcontractor payments and customer billings.

Support federal award compliance audits as well as financial audits by preparing assigned schedules and documentation.

Perform other duties as assigned

Work Location

The hybrid position offers a hybrid/core work week, where employees are remote Mondays and Fridays, and required to be on-site Tuesday through Thursday.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $95000.00/yr.
