The Accounts Receivable Analyst is responsible for managing and analyzing the company's receivables, ensuring timely collection of outstanding invoices, and maintaining accurate records of all transactions. This role requires a keen eye for detail and exceptional analytical skills to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement within the accounts receivable process. The ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams to optimize the accounts receivable process is also essential.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Monitor and manage the accounts receivable ledger, ensuring all invoices are processed and payments are collected promptly.

Utilize advanced Excel skills to analyze financial data, identify trends, and generate reports that assist in decision-making processes.

Prepare detailed financial reports on accounts receivable status, including aging reports, collection forecasts, and reconciliation statements.

Address and resolve any discrepancies or disputes related to customer accounts and payments.

Maintain regular communication with customers to understand data irregularities to ensure payment terms are adhered to and follow up occurs on overdue accounts.

Ensure that all accounts receivable activities comply with company policies, industry regulations, and financial reporting standards.

Identify opportunities to streamline and enhance the accounts receivable process to improve efficiency and accuracy.

Education and Experience:

A bachelors degree in accounting, finance, economics, business administration, computer science, or a related data analytics field is required.

A minimum of 1 year of accounting, accounts receivable, or related data analytic experience.

Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to create complex formulas and pivot tables are required.

Familiarity with accounting software, ERP systems, and other financial management tools is required.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret and present financial data clearly, are required.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with internal and external stakeholders are required.

High level of accuracy and attention to detail in managing financial records and transactions is required.

Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment is required.

CPA or CMA certification is a plus.

Industry Knowledge: Understanding of industry-specific accounts receivable practices and challenges is preferred.
