DESCRIPTION OF WORK Under the direction of the Clerical Supervisor, you will engage in various clerical and office tasks with a focus on accounting duties, including invoice processing and budget monitoring. This role serves as the primary invoice reconciler for all county purchases, necessitating effective communication with both the comptroller and vendors to address any issues that arise. Your responsibilities will include receiving invoices, determining the appropriate payment methods, and processing payments for non-purchase order invoices, while also securing workflow verification from a designated level 1 approver. Additionally, you will be tasked with responsible for contacting all vendors regarding any outstanding invoices related to purchase orders for materials and services.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment

Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.

Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

Two years of experience performing bookkeeping or clerical accounting work; or

An Associate Degree in accounting or business administration including or supplemented by six credits of accounting.

Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree.

Additional Requirements: You must be able to perform essential job functions.
