Candela Corporation is a leading global aesthetic device company with a comprehensive product portfolio and a global distribution footprint. We are the market leader in the development, manufacturing, and distribution of medical and aesthetic laser and light-based technologies. The Company's technology enables physicians to provide advanced solutions for a broad range of medical-aesthetic application including hair removal, wrinkle reduction, tattoo removal, improving the skin's appearance through the treatment of benign vascular and pigmented lesions, and the treatment of acne, leg veins, scarring and other common indications.
Candela develops products for the global aesthetic market. These products begin as concepts developed by Candela's world-class team of scientists and engineers or as acquired or licensed technologies. These programs are supported by Candela's global business unit, clinical, regulatory, and quality teams and are managed through our Product Development Process (PDP) and Quality Management System (QMS).
The Company's headquarters are in Marlborough, Massachusetts, US, with an additional R&D facility in Yokneam, Israel and commercial locations across Asia Pacific, and Europe. Products are sold direct in 18 countries worldwide and through distributors in over 60 others and are supported by field sales, field service, clinical education and marketing organizations.
General Summary
The Senior Director, Growth Marketing is accountable for the Company's customer life cycle and marketing strategies in partnership with SVP, Marketing and is responsible for driving revenue growth across existing and new account segments of our business globally, ultimately responsible for shared revenue goals as well as the marketing funnel KPIs. This individual will lead the development and execution of growth marketing strategies, leveraging data-driven insights to optimize customer acquisition, customer life cycle - retention and expansion. This position will also oversee all data analytics and business intelligence functions, providing actionable insights to inform strategic decision-making across the organization.
The span of control includes from 5-7 direct reports, and up to indirect reports (to be determined). The Director of Growth Marketing is a member of Candela's Steering Committee (SC), Operating Committee (OC), and global marketing management team.
Essential Job Responsibilities
Strategic leadership - directs all aspects of the Company's marketing function including across The Americas, EMEA, and Asia Pacific regions, in conjunction with the CMO
Marketing budget : Plan, direct and coordinate marketing budgets in accordance with organizational goals to drive revenue by increasing sales through marketing activities and channels.
Revenue growth: leading strategy, planning and performance management to meet and exceed revenue goals for the company
Growth Marketing Strategy: Develop and implement comprehensive growth marketing strategies to acquire new customers, increase market share, and drive revenue growth across our high opportunity segments
Customer Acquisition & Retention: Optimize customer acquisition channels, including digital marketing, paid advertising, SEO/SEM, content marketing, and partnerships. Implement strategies to improve customer life cycle - retention, reduce churn, and expansion
Marketing Technology: Evaluate and improve marketing technology solutions to support growth initiatives, including marketing automation, CRM, digital marketing tools
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Sales, Product, Engineering, and Customer Success teams to align growth strategies with overall business objectives
Data-Driven Insights: Lead the data analytics and business intelligence teams to generate actionable insights that inform marketing strategies, product development, and operational efficiencies
Culture : promotes a culture of discipline, accountability, and excellence inside direct functions and across the organization through working relationships with operating peers to ensure objectives are met or exceeded
Team Leadership: Build and manage a high-performing team of growth marketers, marketing operations, and data analysts
Administration - administers the annual performance management and compensation programs equitably for his/her organization as well as resourcing and hiring, development, and succession planning of its staff in accordance with Candela's programs
Knowledge/Educational Requirements
· Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or related field from an accredited institution
· Minimum Ten (10) years' experience in creating marketing channels to drive demand lead generation and revenue growth
· Prior five (5) people management experience with the ability to manage direct reports at managerial level
· Experience in both B2C and B2B marketing
· Understand data and its application, investment/ROI oriented to drive planning and evaluation of all marketing efforts
· Demonstrated experience at leading teams and developing talent
· Strong ability to think both creatively and strategically
· Product Management and product launch experience is essential
· Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with key physicians, customers, stakeholders and industry partners required
· Solid Project management skills
· Works effectively within a matrixed, global organization; builds internal/external relations, demonstrated influencing, and collaboration skills sets to drive decisions, and establish credibility
· Able to work in an environment where sharing responsibility for success and failure of others on the team
· Conversant in the English language, verbal/written communication; exhibits excellent presentation, analytical and organizational skills.
· Good Microsoft Office skills, demonstrated command of Word, Excel, PowerPoint
