We are seeking a strong and experienced marketing professional who will help manage, develop and implement brand and marketing programs to support growth across a diverse portfolio of brands. This includes brand positioning for the enterprise, functions and assigned go to market brands.
About the role:
The Associate Director of Strategic Brand Marketing will play a key role in stewarding and elevating our global brand. This individual will lead and manage brand governance, product naming strategy, and cross-company brand alignment, working closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure consistency, clarity and impact across all touchpoints-enhancing brand equity and market impact. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker and hands-on executor capable of navigating both high-level brand initiatives and detailed tactical activities. This individual will thrive in a matrix organization and bring a passion for unlocking brand value to accelerate business growth.
The candidate will be able to influence others within Carrier's portfolio of businesses and work with marketing leaders around the globe. This position will report to the Director of Strategic Marketing, WHQ.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the development and execution of the global marketing strategic plan.
Assist in the management and development of corporate branding initiatives including enterprise, segment, brand positioning and alignment in the portfolio. ?
Lead and evolve company-wide brand governance systems, including brand guidelines, naming conventions, and trademark strategy.
Maintain and optimize the brand architecture to ensure clarity, simplicity, and flexibility for future growth.
Collaborate with business units to develop compelling brand positioning and customer-centric value propositions that reinforce a strong, consistent and recognizable global presence.
Manage brand performance metrics and measurement frameworks and assessments.
Understand key performance metrics and leverage insights to deliver business results.
Influence internal stakeholders to drive alignment between BU initiatives and corporate initiatives.
Develop robust brand governance plan to ensure global brand consistency.
Assist and help manage a product, service and initiative naming strategy to create a unified, scalable and customer-relevant brand ecosystem.
Ensure the Carrier web properties accurately portray the Carrier brand.
Guide functional program managers on effective and impactful marketing mix.
Partner with global business marketing and communications managers to ensure integration with regional marketing plans and campaigns.
Manage brand standards and advise on branding for 35+ brands.
Develop and execute marketing campaigns for functional partners.
Conduct competitive benchmarking.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree
10+ years of experience in strategic marketing, brand strategy or corporate marketing
3+ years in leadership role
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, or a related field
MBA or master's degree with an emphasis in marketing
Recent experience in a Fortune 500 global company
Expertise in brand portfolio strategy and architecture, brand governance and brand positioning strategy
Proven experience in product naming strategy and branding consistency across multi-brand portfolio
Experience in driving brand transformation initiatives within medium-large, matrixed organizations
Strong communication, storytelling, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate brand vision and strategy to senior executives and cross-functional teams. Excellent at presenting findings to a diverse audience
Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with experience in brand performance measurement and optimization
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels
Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently
Detail-oriented mindset, with a focus on accuracy, consistency, and quality in all tasks and deliverables
Cross-functional team leadership experience
Budget management experience
Strong influencing skills; able to communicate succinctly and creatively to various organizational levels and functions
Demonstrated ability to collaborate across countries, divisions, and cross-functional teams to influence business outcomes
Ability to operate in ambiguous environments, with demonstrated capability in dealing with complexity
