Temporary Legal Secretary- Cover Vacation Leave

Small General Practice Law Office

Looking to earn some vacation money, we need 1 week of coverage in a small, General Practice Law office supporting two dedicated attorneys.

Key Responsibilities

Guest Reception: Warmly greet guests upon arrival.

Phone Management: Operate a 5-line phone system (call volume is typically light).

Document Preparation: Type memos and meeting notes using MS Word (50+ WPM preferred).

Transcription: Utilize a transcription tool to prepare meeting notes.

Basic Computer Skills: Save documents as PDF.

Typewriter Tasks: Occasional use; training provided.

Payment Handling: Process credit card payments (training and instructions will be provided).

Skills & Qualifications

Multi-tasking: Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.

Legal Expertise: Prefer candidates with a basic understanding of legal terms.

Computer Proficiency: Must be adept with basic computer operations and document management.

Work Environment & Dress Code

Office Atmosphere: Relaxed and supportive.

Dress Code: Business casual; jeans allowed on Fridays (no holes or controversial attire).

Hours

Working Hours: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday to Friday (potential early dismissal on Friday).
