Job Summary and Qualifications
POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for general accounting functions, such as month end close, journal entries, reconciliations, and various @types of financial analysis.
SPECIFIC ELEMENTS & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Maintain multiple general ledgers
Prepare monthly journal entries, analyses and account reconciliations as required to accurately close the monthly fiscal period
Prepare detailed monthly actual to budget variance reports to support management in the review of monthly operating performance
Prepare monthly balance sheet and bank reconciliations, investigating discrepancies and making correcting entries
Prepare and post key indicators and statistics
Assist practice management as need with financial information requests and questions
Prepare entries and reconcile Property Management Accounts Receivable accounts
Manage lease payments, including preparing check requests, reconciling lease amounts, and communicating with landlords
Prepare and submit Sales & Use tax returns, as required
Audit cafeteria receipts
Assist in quarterly petty cash fund audits
Assist in annual budget process, cost report, and year-end tax workpapers
Assist with Abandoned Property reports
Perform final review of Accounts Payable invoices prior to posting to general ledger
Participate in the year-end inventory count for the hospital and related entities
Ensure that all processing and reporting deadlines are consistently achieved
Respond timely to requests for information from Facility Management, Corporate, Internal Audit, and other internal and external management
Maintain strictest confidentiality to ensure that privileged and/or propriertary information is adequately safeguarded against disclosure
Practice and adhere to the "Code of Conduct" philosophy and "Mission and Value Statement"
Works as scheduled, including one weekend per month
