Account Manager - State Farm Agent Team Member Keith Camire - State Farm Insurance | Milford, PA Full-Time | Salary + Commission/Bonus Opportunities ## We're Looking for More Than a Salesperson Insurance is what we do. People are why we do it. At our State Farm office in Milford, Pennsylvania, we're building something a little different. We believe meaningful relationships, honest conversations, and genuinely understanding people's needs are far more valuable than simply making another sale. We're looking for an Account Manager who shares that philosophy. Someone who enjoys working with people, takes pride in doing things well, and understands that professionalism doesn't mean sacrificing personality. We want individuals who bring their own perspectives, experiences, humor, and individuality to work while understanding the importance of accountability, respect, and good judgment. We're not looking for someone who needs to be constantly supervised, nor are we interested in high-pressure sales tactics. We're looking for a motivated professional who wants to build a career, contribute to a growing team, and make a meaningful difference in the lives of the people we serve. ## What You'll Do As an Account Manager, you'll play an important role in both customer relationships and the continued growth of our office. Your responsibilities will include: - Develop and maintain meaningful relationships with new and existing customers. - Listen carefully, ask thoughtful questions, and help customers better understand their insurance needs. - Educate customers about available insurance products and coverage options without relying on aggressive sales tactics. - Identify opportunities to help customers protect what matters most to them. - Prepare quotes, explain coverage options, and assist customers with insurance applications. - Assist with policy reviews, account updates, billing questions, and general service needs. - Manage customer communications, follow-ups, and administrative tasks accurately and efficiently. - Take ownership of assigned responsibilities and see them through to completion. - Collaborate with other team members to maintain a positive, productive office environment. - Participate in occasional community events, networking opportunities, and activities outside normal business hours. - Conduct occasional off-site visits when business needs require them. Sales and business development are important parts of this position. However, we believe successful sales should be the natural result of listening, educating, building rapport, and helping people make informed decisions. ## Who We're Looking For The right person doesn't necessarily come from the insurance industry. While experience is valuable, character, work ethic, emotional intelligence, and a willingness to learn matter just as much. Our ideal candidate: - Has at least one year of relevant professional experience, preferably in insurance, customer service, account management, or sales. - Ideally brings 3-5 years of overall professional work experience, regardless of industry. - Is genuinely interested in building a long-term career rather than simply finding another job. - Is personable, empathetic, and comfortable connecting with people from different backgrounds. - Understands how to balance individuality and personality with professionalism. - Is self-motivated, organized, and capable of managing responsibilities without constant supervision. - Takes initiative, follows through on commitments, and accepts responsibility for their work. - Is comfortable having conversations about sales and business growth without being pushy or transactional. - Is receptive to coaching, constructive feedback, and continued professional development. - Communicates clearly, respectfully, and confidently. - Enjoys being part of a team while also being capable of working independently. - Has reliable transportation and is willing to travel locally for occasional business-related activities. - Is willing and available to participate in occasional evening or weekend community events. Licensing Requirements - An active Property & Casualty insurance license is strongly preferred. - Candidates must be able and willing to obtain the required Property & Casualty license if not already licensed. - An active Life, Accident & Health license is preferred. - Candidates who do not currently hold a Life, Accident & Health license must be willing and able to obtain one as part of their professional development. Preference may be given to candidates who live in Milford or the surrounding communities and are familiar with the local area. ## What Makes Our Office Different? We believe people do their best work when they're respected, challenged, supported, and given room to grow. We're not interested in micromanaging every minute of someone's day. We believe in setting clear expectations, providing the resources and support needed to succeed, and empowering people to take ownership of their responsibilities. That freedom comes with accountability. We value people who can think independently, recognize what needs to be done, and take initiative without waiting to be told every step of the way. We also believe that personality matters. You don't need to fit some predetermined corporate mold to succeed here. We appreciate different backgrounds, experiences, perspectives, and a sense of humor. What matters is knowing how to bring those qualities into a professional environment while treating customers and colleagues with consideration and respect. Our approach to insurance is rooted in education, relationships, and responsible stewardship. We want our customers to feel heard, understood, and confident in the decisions they make. And we want our team members to take pride in being part of that experience. ## Career Growth and Opportunity This position is intended for someone who wants to grow professionally. As our office continues to develop, we want team members who are interested in expanding their knowledge, strengthening their skills, obtaining additional licenses, and taking on greater responsibilities. We offer opportunities for: - Professional development and continued learning. - Expanding insurance knowledge across multiple lines of business. - Developing sales, customer relationship, and account management skills. - Growing into additional responsibilities as experience and capabilities develop. - Performance-based compensation opportunities. ## Compensation - Competitive base salary commensurate with experience and qualifications. - Commission and performance-based bonus opportunities. - Opportunities for professional growth and development. ## A Final Thought If you're looking for a job where someone tells you exactly what to do every minute of the day, this probably isn't the right fit. But if you're someone who enjoys working with people, takes ownership of your responsibilities, wants to keep learning, and believes a successful career can be built on meaningful relationships and doing right by others, we'd welcome the opportunity to meet you. We don't expect you to leave your personality at the door. We just ask that you bring your professionalism with it. Apply to join the team at Keith Camire - State Farm Insurance in Milford, PA.
