The Role The Operations Manager is a key leadership role responsible for guiding the production and sanitation departments. This individual will collaborate closely with Quality, Maintenance, Purchasing/Logistics, and Planning teams to ensure business objectives are met. This role is critical to our success, directly impacting product quality and operational excellence. The Operations Manager is tasked with driving a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement, developing teams, and ensuring the facility achieves and exceeds all performance standards. This role directly oversees a team of supervisors, including but not limited to: Production Supervisors Sanitation Lead Drive and continuously improve a \"Safety First\" culture at the facility. Lead, mentor, and develop the sanitation and production teams through effective performance evaluations, coaching, and disciplinary actions. Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure and drive efficiency across all departments. Serve as a key member of the Food Safety Team. Write and implement operational procedures, facilitating training and change management to maintain efficient and safe operations. Assume ultimate responsibility for all plant activities involving Production and Sanitation. Oversee the production and packaging of all products to ensure they meet strict customer and internal specifications for quality and consistency. Drive necessary changes to employee processes and equipment to achieve and exceed Legacy Bakehouse\'s efficiency and quality standards. Champion all food and personnel safety procedures, ensuring full compliance throughout the facility. Ensure general housekeeping duties are consistently performed to meet and exceed food safety standards. Ensure all necessary production, safety, and quality data is accurately recorded at required intervals. Notify Quality Assurance and Plant Management of any food safety issues or concerns. Ensure all operations adhere to regulatory requirements. What We\'re Looking For ** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: What We\'re Looking For 5-7 years of progressive experience in manufacturing leadership, preferably in the food industry. Deep knowledge of food and general safety principles and a strong understanding of regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA, OSHA). Demonstrated ability to lead and develop both salaried supervisors and hourly employees. Solid understanding of management principles, including production planning, quality standards, and employee relations as they apply to Legacy Bakehouse. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure. Bachelor\'s degree in operations management, Business, or a related field preferred. Requires successful completion of food safety, personnel safety, and positional training.
