Goble Family Restaurants - McDonald's
We are looking for a dependable, hands-on Restaurant Maintenance & Repair Technician to support our McDonald's restaurants throughout Maine.
This position will travel between our restaurant locations to perform repairs, troubleshoot equipment and facility issues, complete preventive maintenance, and help keep our restaurants safe, operational, and in excellent condition.
Responsibilities
Travel to multiple restaurant locations to complete maintenance and repair work.
Diagnose and repair general building and restaurant equipment issues.
Perform basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general facility repairs within the technician's level of training and qualification.
Troubleshoot restaurant equipment and determine whether repairs can be completed internally or require an outside vendor.
Complete preventive maintenance to reduce equipment failures and unexpected downtime.
Repair doors, locks, fixtures, shelving, cabinetry, walls, flooring, and other building components.
Assist with minor plumbing issues such as faucets, drains, toilets, and leaks.
Assist with basic electrical repairs such as switches, outlets, lighting, and fixtures when qualified to do so.
Perform minor equipment repairs and replacement of parts.
Inspect restaurants for maintenance concerns and identify problems before they become larger repairs.
Respond to repair requests from restaurant management and operations leadership.
Communicate the status of repairs, parts needed, and any additional work required.
Maintain tools, parts, and maintenance supplies.
Coordinate with approved outside vendors when specialized repairs are required.
Maintain accurate records of work completed, parts used, and outstanding repair needs.
Follow all company safety procedures and applicable codes and regulations.
Help ensure restaurant equipment and facilities are maintained in safe working condition.
Qualifications
Previous maintenance, facilities, construction, mechanical, or repair experience preferred.
Strong mechanical and troubleshooting ability.
Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple repair requests.
Experience with basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, or commercial equipment repair is preferred.
Restaurant or commercial facilities maintenance experience is a plus.
Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Dependable and able to respond appropriately to changing maintenance priorities.
Valid driver's license and reliable driving record required.
Must be comfortable traveling between restaurant locations throughout Maine.
Physical Requirements
This position requires the ability to:
Stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, climb, and reach throughout the workday.
Safely use ladders and maintenance equipment.
Lift and carry tools, parts, and equipment.
Work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Work around restaurant equipment, kitchens, roofs, parking areas, and mechanical spaces as necessary.

What We Are Looking For
We are looking for someone who takes pride in fixing problems correctly, can work independently, and understands that keeping our restaurants operating is the priority.
The right person will be proactive rather than simply waiting for something to break. We want someone who can walk into a restaurant, recognize maintenance concerns, determine what needs to be done, and either complete the repair or help coordinate the appropriate solution.
This is a multi-restaurant position, so organization, communication, reliability, and the ability to travel are essential.
