Job Skills / Requirements

Part-Time Security Officer

Pay: $17.00 per hour

Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 3:00 PM-11:00 PM

Regular Hours: 32 hours per week

Additional Hours: Potential to work up to 40 hours per week based on division needs

We are seeking a dependable and professional Part-Time Security Officer to provide security, access control, and customer service at an assigned property.

This position offers a consistent 32-hour weekly schedule with three days off, along with the opportunity to pick up additional shifts and work up to 40 hours per week depending on division needs and available coverage.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain a professional and visible security presence throughout the property.

Monitor and control access to the building and restricted areas.

Conduct scheduled interior and exterior patrols.

Monitor entrances, exits, common areas, parking areas, and other designated locations.

Respond appropriately to security concerns, disturbances, alarms, and emergencies.

Assist tenants, visitors, vendors, and contractors as needed.

Complete daily activity reports, incident reports, and required security documentation.

Monitor CCTV, access-control systems, and other security equipment when applicable.

Identify and report safety hazards, suspicious activity, maintenance concerns, or property damage.

Follow all post orders, site procedures, and client-specific requirements.

Communicate effectively with supervisors, property management, and other security personnel.

Maintain a professional appearance and provide excellent customer service.

Qualifications

Previous security, military, law enforcement, customer service, or related experience is preferred.

Candidates must be able to consistently work Monday through Thursday from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM.

Applicants should be dependable, punctual, professional, and comfortable working independently. Strong communication, observational, and customer-service skills are essential.

Basic computer and smartphone skills are required for electronic reporting, communication, and security applications.

Compensation & Schedule

Starting Pay: $17.00/hour

The regular schedule provides 32 hours per week, Monday through Thursday, with Friday, Saturday, and Sunday off.

Officers interested in additional hours may have opportunities to assist with open shifts and coverage needs throughout the division, providing the potential to work up to 40 hours per week.

We are looking for someone who wants a consistent primary schedule while also having the flexibility to pick up additional hours when available.
